With the rapid growth of global economic integration, port, as the critical node of international trade, has become a basic platform for international resources allocation. As the competition among ports is becoming more and more fierce, the global large ports begin to set the development of port supply chain as strategy outlines by mutual collaboration and cooperation among upstream and downstream nodes to strengthen the comprehensive competitiveness. This thesis analyzes the business process of port from the perspective of supply chain. Based on the container export process that is almost fully developed, Petri net is used as a modeling approach to analyze and optimize the business process system, and Flexsim software conducts simulations of the system. After analyzing the result of simulation, the unreasonable links are improved and optimized to raise the overall operations efficiency of port supply chain, which has significant theoretical value and practical meaning.Firstly, starting with the current research status of port supply chain, supply chain modeling with Petri net and supply chain simulation, the research problem of this thesis is raised. Next, the relative theories are introduced and summarized, which lays the foundation of the following modeling part. Also, it has analyzed the connotation of port supply chain and the port business processes under the context of supply chain. According to the characteristics of container export process under supply chain and the analysis of various superior Petri nets, it has put forward a new model named Hierarchical Objected-Oriented Petri Nets which combines hierarchical Petri nets and object-oriented method. The new method perfectly integrates the advantages of layering of hierarchical Petri nets and modularization of object-oriented mythology, which is suited to establish a well-organized model for the complex port supply chain system. After building the hierarchical model, principle chain and sub-chain model of container export supply chain, Flexsim is used to simulate the business process system of container export of Shenzhen port supply chain. By setting up parameters, the system comes to run. Through analyzing the simulation results, the bottleneck problems that affect the process efficiency are pointed out, and the corresponding solutions are raised up to improve and optimize the process system. Finally, this paper draws the conclusions and puts forward the existing problems and the further research direction.
