The population aging is a world problem. By chance, the process of the population aging in China with "end rich is first old" catches up with the social transition course, in which new and old problems emerging simultaneously and many of them need to be resolved in time. In the rural areas, in particular, economic underdevelopment, the pressure of aging population, the low level of social security system and the like make rural pension more acute. During the contemporary social transformation process, there occurs the exodus of rural laborer in rural areas, as one of the most notable phenomena. As a partial change in the social system, it profoundly affects the rural community, rural families, and the security system of rural family support for elderly. Then, what influences has the out-mobility of rural laborer had on rural family support for elderly? How much is the extent of the influence? What changes do the security system undergone in turn? What problems exist? What way will it go? What will we deal with? The study uses sociological and demographic theory and methods to conduct in-depth analysis of the effects on the family support for elderly by laborer out-migration, through the investigation of Xianyou County, Fujian Province.By empirical investigation and theoretical analysis, the study concludes that China's rural family support for elderly remains primary, with the economic and social development; The development of the rural social security for the elderly aims at strengthening the family support; In the existing socio-economic and cultural environment, it is the key to develop the family support for elderly under the rural labor out-mobility circumstance that we should unify public awareness of the status of the family support for elderly, enhance the intervene of government and organizations, implement the corresponding policies and strengthen the building of new rural Hau-culture.
