Research On The Current Situation And Countermeasures Of Social Support For The Aged Left-Behind Elderly In Rural Areas In L Area Of Hubei Province

In recent years,with the prolongation of the average life expectancy of the elderly,the problem of population aging in China has become increasingly serious.According to the data in the "Research Report on the Left-behind Elderly in China’s Rural Areas",the number of left-behind elderly people in Chinese rural areas reached 16 million by March 2018.The large number of the elderly population,rapid growth rate,large proportion of the elderly,and the empty nesting make the development of Chinese elderly care industry face a new round of severe challenges.In many rural areas of China,the proportion of most young and middle-aged laborers moving to cities is gradually increasing.This phenomenon has led to the vast majority of the elderly staying in rural areas,with few social resources available to them and difficulties in providing for the elderly.In view of this situation,how to deal with and solve the problem of social support for the aged left-behind elderly in rural areas is an important practical task that individuals,families,governments and society need to pay close attention to and actively respond to.In this study,the rural left-behind elderly in the L region are taken as the research object,drawing on the previous literature research,through the combination of field investigation,questionnaires and interviews,to study the current situation and satisfaction of the rural left-behind elderly in the L region.The purpose is to explore the problems existing in the social support status of rural left-behind elderly in L area and analyze the reasons.First,a questionnaire was distributed to 220 rural left-behind elderly people over the age of 60 in the L region to investigate their social support status in terms of material economy,medical rehabilitation,daily life care,life and entertainment activities,and spiritual and emotional aspects;secondly,model construction and regression analysis are carried out on the questionnaire data,and ten significant influencing factors are obtained;thirdly,through the survey data,it analyzes the problems and deficiencies in the current social support for the rural left-behind elderly in the L region and analyzes the reasons;finally,according to the problems and causes of the social support for the rural left-behind elderly in the L region,the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are put forward.
