Essentially sense, modern commercial bank is the business, which goal is profit maximization, especially at present, through the internal restructuring of state-owned commercial banks, joint-stock reform and major changes, the pursuit of the inherent requirements of the performance more strongly. With development of their own, how timely manner to improve the existing perfonnance management system, so that fit with the development of enterprises, which has become one major issues of human resources department. Performance management as a modern human resource management an important part is to correctly evaluate the levels of agencies, departments and employee performance, and the different performance results given the right incentives to promote the organization and improve employee performance levels, so as to continuously improve core competencies, achieve the organization's overall strategic objectives.This passage based on ICBC of Gansu province as study object, uses performance management theory and methods, analyses the present situation of its performance management, such as personal goals in touch with the Organization's strategic objectives, performance evaluation index system is not designed science, lack of control over the process of performance management, performance evaluation results are not applied in place, Points out the necessity of performance management improvement and improvement strategies that foster a business-oriented performance management strategy ideas, establish a scientific performance evaluation index system, especially to strengthen process control, and improve the performance results of application system. In addition, performance management system should adapt to corporate culture and modify system to ensure the performance management improvement strategies implemented.Finally, by comparing the improved performance management, we can see that the improved performance management highlights the responsibility of line managers, Especially strengthened the performance management implementation process control, result applied a wider range. Meanwhile put forward modify system of performance management to ensure the perfonnance management to improve the implementation.
