As the most basic discipline of natural science,Physics is the fundamentalcurriculum of engineering discipline. There is an extremely important value for ourhigher education system to improve the quality of Physics education.Research thehistory of Physics education itself have an important effect in guiding education andprofound historical significance as it can help us grasp the law of Physics educationand teaching,improving Physics education and promoting Physics education reform.This article analyzes the transformation of Chinese educational guideline andits backgrounds. According to the spirituality and valuable of educational guideline,it can be divided into three stages. Reveals the guiding thought of physics educationis converting examination-oriented education towards quality-oriented educationunder the influences of educational guideline. Furthermore, we made the relevantinterpretation of physics quality education guiding and did brief summaries ofInternational advanced physics education ideas.Secondly,according to the development process from simple to complex ofPhysics teaching means in China since1978, it can be divided into three patterns astraditional teaching means, electrochemical means and information technologymeans.The article reveals this kind of dynamic development process is upgradefunction not the violent overthrow replaced, and briefly introduced internationalleading Physics teaching means and teaching model related.Thirdly, according to The Basic Requirements of University Physics Teachingwhich the Ministry of Education has issued in1987,1995,2006since1978,weanalyze the development and changes in college physics teaching content andteaching requirements.Reveals the reform of the teaching content is in the directiontoward quality education.And through analyzes the thought of Zhao Kaihua and LuDexin about Physics Education, who thought education,expressed the idea that onlywe do not rigidly adhere to the successful examples and take advantage of the localconditions can we inspire the interest of students to learn Physics and succeed inteaching Physics education.Finally,we give a specific interpretation to"seek truth from facts"throughanalysis the guiding ideology of physics education,teaching methods,teachingcontent and the ideology of famous teachers.It show us that the history of physicseducation is the history of physics education change with the times.Development ofthe times is condition and the the changes of Physics education is result, this is theideology of "seek truth from facts"embodied in the conditions in correspondencewith the results.Therefore, we advocate break the shackles mode of thinking but use the ideology of "seek truth from facts" to understand teaching in physicseducation.Only persist the ideology of "seek truth from facts" can we truly improvethe quality of university physics education.
