This thesis means to study the curriculum building of specialty of physics education in Ningxia Normal College. On the one hand, it aims to make the curriculum building more systematic and consistent with the target of training modern teachers, which enables students to have a better structure of knowledge, ability and quality together with good quality of humanity and science; a sense of creation, a spirit of innovation and a competence for innovation; and a capability of lifelong learning, hence to lay a good foundation for the specialized development of teachers in the future. On the other hand, it is the demand of the study during the postgraduate program to research and explore theory and practice of curriculum building. The study could help raise the level of curriculum theory and the ability to solve problems in curriculum practice, which lays a base for the future work of training teachers and doing teaching research. The purpose of studying the curriculum building of specialty of physics education in Ningxia Normal College is to provide theoretical guidance and reference for the construction of academic credit system of this specialty and good preparations for subsequent curriculum building.Based on the reading and analyzing works and literature on curriculum theory, the author has a better idea and clear understanding of the new development in curriculum theory, the new trend and features in international teachers educating and the status quo and tendency of studying curriculum for High Normal Schools, which functions as a theoretical basis for the study of this thesis. Combined with the reality in curriculum, the thesis makes an analysis of the status quo of the curriculum building of specialty of physics education in Ningxia Normal College and of statistics and information obtained from the questionnaires and interviews in regard to students' need for the curriculum, with problems and causes existing in curriculum building pointed out. Meanwhile, comparative method is applied to analyze the characteristics of curriculum building of College Physics in Shaanxi Normal University. Taking into consideration factors influencing curriculum building, value-orientation shown in curriculum building and principles applied in curriculum building in High Normal Schools, several suggestions are made and a conception is formulated concerning the curriculum building of specialty of physics education in Ningxia Normal College.The whole thesis is divided into six chapters with the details as follows:The first chapter proposes the questions, defines the relevant concepts, and reviews the related studies both abroad and at home. In addition, thoughts, methods and significance of the research of the thesis are submitted.The second chapter discusses the factors and their great effect on curriculum building in High Normal Schools, such as philosophy, psychology, sociology, science studies and culture studies.The third chapter, the bulk of the thesis, mainly analyzes the status quo of the curriculum building of specialty of physics education in Ningxia Normal College and detects the problems existing in it. With the help of the data from the questionnaires and interviews, it explains the causes of existing problems, thus lays a foundation for discussions of the topic in the fourth chapter-suggestions and solutions for curriculum building.In the fourth chapter, comparative methods are applied to study and analyze characteristics of curriculum building of College Physics in Shaanxi Normal University. Through talks with others and analyses of curriculum structure, academic credit, ratio of credit hours, and the teaching schedule of academic credit system for undergraduates of physics, the thesis summaries the features of its curriculum building and a few implications are made on the curriculum building of specialty of physics education in Ningxia Normal College.The fifth chapter puts forward proposals and conception for curriculum building of specialty of physics education in Ningxia Normal College after a discussion of the value-orientation and principles in curriculum building, together with the influencing factors.The sixth chapter is the conclusion of the whole thesis. First of all, from the perspective of overall function of curriculum, social orientation, disciplinary orientation and individual orientation should be integrated together for the intention of pursuing the development of students' comprehensive quality as regard to curriculum building of specialty of physics education in Ningxia Normal College. Secondly, the curriculum contents should be characterized by general education, disciplinary education and teacher education. Only when these three are combined closely together could students be cultivated with good structure of knowledge, capability and quality.
