Research On Tourism Environmental Bearing Capacity Of Tourist City

With the development of urban tourism and the prosperity of tourist industry,various kinds of passive effects that related to overexploitation of the tourist city havebegan to appear and demonstrate theirs enormous potential threat gradually. In whichincluding the overexploitation even predatory development of the tourist resources,the extensive management of the scenic spot, the morbid expansion of theconstruction of travel facilities and the sharply worsen of the environmental quality.All these are threatening the sustainable development of tourist industry and touristcity in various degree.The measurement, analyse and research of Tourism Environmental BearingCapacity (TEBC) is an effective method to solve these problems. It contributes tocontrolling visitor's flow, making sure it does not exceed a certain threshold value,and it also contributes to developing and planning the tourist city scientifically. Andthe more important thing is, it can instruct us to manage the tourist city rationally andlengthen the life cycle of the traveling products, in order to realize the sustainabledevelopment of the tourist city and tourist industry.This thesis probed into the development of urban tourism, the impact of touristindustry on the city and the idea of the tourist city. At the same time, the concept,characteristic, intension and function of Tourism Environmental Bearing Capacity hasbeen defined, the relation between the Tourism Environmental Bearing CapacityTheory and the Sustainable Development Theory has been explained, the evaluationindex system has been put forward, and the measure model has been set up usingfuzzy linear programming method, after consulted many data in abroad and domestic.At the end of the thesis, we took Sanya City of Hainan Province as a case city to doquantitive calculation on its tourism environmental bearing capacity. We pointed outthe rational tourism environmental bearing capacity of Sanya City and the restrictivefactors. We also gave advice and suggestion on how to develop tourist city andtourism environmental bearing capacity of Sanya.
