The sustainable development is been used as one of economy and society main strategies by Hebei province,the urgent demand is studying a set of the index sign system and evaluatation model that can evaluate the sustainable development level of district economy of our province. First,based on the sustainable development and the regional economics theories,thesis put forward a more completely definition of" the sustainable development of regional economy ".Then according to circumstance of our province, established a set of suit and operable index sign system, applied AHP and TOPSIS model to carry on horizontal and vertical appraisal to the sustainable development level of the regional economy of our province, drawn quantizatly result. Finally , put forward the countermeasure and suggestion in an all-round way in the strategic emphasis field of sustainable development. Sustainable development evaluation index system and model ,set up by the thesis, provide a kind of quantitative analysis tool, can appraise to the sustainable development level in the area regularly , offer basis on which make policy further. The countermeasure and suggestion can offer reliable reference to making-policy, planning, examination of our province economy, at the same time,offer helpful reference for implementing sustainable development in other provinces and cities.
