Statistics And Analysis The Status Of Scientific Method Education Reseach About The Foreign Scientific Education Journals

We are now in a new world which is the core with information and knowledge. We are more dependent on science and technology than ever. In such a future world, the requirements of scientific literacy of citizens are rising. Scientific method is one of the elements of scientific literacy. Scientific method education is the need that is to develop students'basic knowledge, developmental knowledge and creative knowledge, is the requirement of the times, and has been more and more concerned by the whole world. In the new round of curriculum reform in science, scientific method of education also received considerable attention.This paper selected seven science education journals which has higher academic authority in the international science education academia, statistics their related indexes about the published papers in 10-year period 1999-2008, Such as number of articles published and annual changes ,the distribution of thesis topics, authors of cooperation, the distribution of the first author's system, etc. Then, compared these several indicators of the seven journals using bibliometrics theories, and inferred based on the results: 1. There is a significant difference in the number of articles published of the seven journals, but the growth trends are stabilizing, each of the journals are included with the scientific method of education-related articles, the International Journal of science Education included the most scientific method of education articles, has 48, accounting for 21.3% of all of the scientific method educational articles which had collected; The least is the Journal of Science Teacher Education,there are 17, accounting for 8.4% of all of the scientific method educational articles which had collected.2. The scientific method educational articles'authors and the authors'system concentrated distribution, mainly in the United States. The first authors of the known country, the United States accounted for 43.7%. And the first author mainly distributed in the national university system.3. The scientific method of education article related to the subject of the article concentrated distribution, the disciplines involved concentrated distribution too. Scientific methods related theoretical articles has 154, accounting for 76.2% of the overall proportion of the article. In the theoretical articles ,scientific articles related to scientific abstraction is the most, there is 87,accounting for 43.7% of the total proportion of the scientific method educational articles, the scientific method educational articles involved scientific disciplines has 108 , representing the proportion 53.5%of all scientific methods educational articles' , the next is physics, there are 42, account for 20.8% of the total.Through these seven journals of science methods education articles statistics analysis, could provide some inspiration for China's science methods research: 1.Comprehensively push forward the scientific method Educational Research 2.Strengthen institutions of higher education institutions and the cooperation of three serving science teachers to improve internationalization of education scientific method 3. Actively promote China's method of education in all disciplines of science studies.4. Improve scientific method Educational Research's international level.
