There are two major respects of the high-precision intelligent multimeter are researched in the paper. On the one hand, we research the AC and DC electrical parameters of the high-precision digital multimeter. On the other hand, we study on the Standard Commands for Programmable Instruments'intelligent parser.Firstly, by analyzing measure principle of the AC and DC electrical parameters and actual projects, we put successive approximation type A-D into DC electrical parameters measurement, and put indirect RMS/DC into RMS measure. Secondly, we mainly study on the Standard Commands for Programmable Instruments and the Virtual Instrument Software Architecture, which are the two important technology in the field of Virtual Instrument.A Standard Commands for Programmable Instruments'intelligent parser based on C program is designed. The measuring system consist of hardware system and software system, the core of the hardware system is ADSP-BF527, in addition, software system is based on uC/OS-II, which is an embedded real-time operating system.Finally, we do lots of experiments and analysis for the measuring system and test the performance of the parser, according to the experimental results,we find that the measuring system achieve high-precision and intelligent goals.The high-precision intelligent multimeter designed in this paper, adopting Digital measuring technique and virtual instrument technique,with simple structure and rich functions, fulfils the conditions of high precision and intelligence, is of high practical use.
