Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) was put forward by the famous analysis company Gartner Group at the beginning of 90's in last century. It is described as the next generation of manufacturing business century systems and manufacturing resource planning (MRPII) software. It gradually becomes a kind of management thought and management development mode through many years.As the advanced enterprise management theories, ERP is the main current that the business enterprise informational management, and also a path that business enterprise management modernization necessarily through. But high risks in the application ERP restrict the popularization of ERP in domestic enterprise and the improvement of informational management level in domestic enterprise. This make the research to risk management in ERP application seem to be increasingly important.This article is divided into four parts primarily:The general principle of ERP system and its application in the IT manufacturing enterprises in China are described in the first chapter. Secondly the introduction of Dawning Corp. and the main describes the detailed ERP applying procedure and the factors part of this paper, what an enterprise should consider when chose an ERP system. In the third chapter gave some problems of ERP of Dawning Corp and the solutions. The restriction of applying ERP system and what to do if it happens are studied. The fourth chapter analysis the main concern of IT manufacturing enterprises when applying the ERP system. It points out that the enterprise should carefully learn their current conditions and chose the proper ERP system, which suit in the enterprise well, give their employees fully training, and implement the ERP system in phase.
