Recently, along with the development of the wireless communication technology, such as GPRS, Bluetooth and ZigBee, the mobile monitoring technology becomes to draw great attention in the field of long-distance medical treatment. Benefit from the multi-function of PDA phone, which can be the mobile healthcare platform, the patients who are outdoors can receive a 24-hour online healthcare monitoring. That means the PDA phone can transmit the patients'real time physiological data to the nearby community clinic automatically. And at the same time, the patients can obtain the message they need from the clinic.In this paper, according to the thought of long-distance medical treatment, I put forward a mobile healthcare monitoring model. Then the data transmission link was established basically. And I designed the interface for showing ECG waveform on PDA phone. The details are below.Firstly, the mobile healthcare monitoring model includes three levels. At the first level, we can use the intelligent healthcare platform with PDA to prevent disease. At the second level, when you get indisposition, you can receive medical treatment from your community clinic. At the third level, you have to go to the hospital until your disease can't be treated well in the clinic. Therefore, the 24 hours healthcare is available for us and the medical resource is optimized.Secondly, I have done some research towards the wireless communication technology --- Bluetooth. For example, I have learnt the Bluetooth RFCOMM protocol. So the Bluetooth model, which names JINOU3264, could be controlled by the MCU with AT command. Also the Bluetooth model on the PDA phone side could be controlled with the J2ME language. And data transmission link from sensor to PDA phone has been built up.Thirdly, after the introduction on GPRS, which include the general fact of the GPRS operation in China, the GPRS service provider CMCC and its'GPRS communication flow chart, based on this flow chart, with J2ME language programming, some parts of the GPRS data transmission link from PDA phone to community clinic have been finished.Finally, on the PDA platform, medical interfaces have been designed and the user's real time ECG waveform can be shown. Also, with some arithmetic, the waveform was optimized.In this paper, apart from the above work, I have done some tests towards the security and the real transmission rate for GPRS and Bluetooth. The results have shown some problems. After analyzing, I gave some solutions.
