With rapid development of society and economy, China’s population structure isgradually enters the aging stage. The masses pay more attention to health, and demandmore for Home healthcare system.However, there are many kinds of home healthcare equipment at present, and mosthome healthcare systems are not perfect in function. Even the existed mature homehealthcare systems, produced by large companies, are strongly closed and onlycompatible with their own equipments, which greatly increasing the users’ cost. What’smore, there might be a variety of host computers using different operating system in thesame home healthcare system, but the equipment is probably adapted to only one OS.For example, some blood pressure monitor is designed to connect with PC which runsWindows OS, but they can hardly connect to user’s smart phone which runs AndroidOS.Because of the diversity of equipment and host OS in home healthcare system, thecompatibility of communication between different equipments and hosts, is the key toenhance the usefulness of home healthcare system, reduce the cost, and meet people’sneeds.In this article, according to the current development status in home healthcare field,we analyze the causes that making system incompatible. Consulting the ContinuaHealth Alliance authentication, we design and realize the home healthcare system basedon Bluetooth and USB interface, which support multiple devices cross-platform access.According to the software function, this paper set the whole system architecture asthree layers: firmware layer, transport layer, and application layer. In the firmware layer,we summarize the similarity of working process among various equipments, and thenaccomplish firmware for Bluetooth, custom defined USB and custom defined HIDinterface to ensure compatibility between the system and the equipment. In the transportlayer, we complete device drivers for custom defined USB equipment on Windows,Linux, and Android platform respectively. Besides, this paper introduced how to call thecertain method in each OS to control Bluetooth and HID device for communication. In the application layer, this paper finished test cases for the above three kind of OS toverify the multiple device cross-platform accessing function of the whole system.
