| Recently, a new strategy was proposed in the Chifeng Unicom after business restructure, which demands that both service convergence and technology convergence must be performed simultaneously. However, there have many difficulties to realize this strategy, such as complicated networks, large nodes, high cost for operation and maintenance. In order to overcome the difficulties and utilize the existing network resources, network convergence is essential solution. Obviously, through network convergence, we can simplify the network structure, reduce the complexity of management, decrease the cost of operation, and increase the efficiency of resource utilization.In this dissertation, we focus on the service convergence in fixed network for the Chifeng Unicom, and then discuss the detailed design and implementation of about two key issues, toll switch out of service for DC2 toll exchange and IVPN service. Firstly, we describe the information about Chifeng DC2 toll exchange, including network infrastructure, traffic distribution settings, signaling link, and the background of IPVN, e.g. and call process and test project. Then, we introduce the foundation knowledge about service convergence and network convergence. Finally, we summarize the further works and put forward the development strategy of fixed and mobile convergence.Chapter one introduces the background about our works, and describes the two key issues, which have been applied in many applications on the Chifeng Unicom. Consequently, chapter two gives a brief overview of the processing system of mail centers related to the core technology. Next, the following two chapters discuss our two contributions. The chapter three describes the toll switch out of service for DC2 toll exchange, discusses the purpose, design and implementation of the whole project. Chapter four focuses on the IVPN service, and gives the detailed information about IVPN. Finally, chapter summarizes our works and gives the future works. |
