Research On CMMB Push Service Terminal

With the fast development of telecommunication, more and more people become cell phone users. There are 700 million cell phone users in China now. As cell phone becomes faster and more powerful, more services are supported on it. Mobile multimedia service, the hottest topic in telecommunication, has an enormous market prospects.CMMB (China Mobile Multimedia Broadcast) meets people's "any time, anywhere to see the Olympic Games" with clear pictures and good wireless networks coverage in Beijing Olympics 2008. The coverage of CMMB networks grows fast. By November 2009, there are 206 cities covered with CMMB networks.However, dual to the high tariff rating and unsuitable program resources, the number of CMMB users grows slowly, only a few million. Meanwhile, "Shoujibao" (newspaper on cell phone), China Mobile's push service, has 40 million users by 2009. If we carry out multimedia push service based on CMMB broadcasting channel to push exciting video clips, latest news to users with proper fee, then the number of CMMB users will grow, in turn, promote CMMB other businesses, and fully tap CMMB market potential.The main achievement in this dissertation is that we design and implement two kinds of push service system models, Client Mode and Local Browser Mode on different develop platforms, and strive to display the content in a nice interface, and give a high quality of service for the users. In order to make research on push service terminal based on CMMB channel, I introduce CMMB channel demodulation and push service system in mobile phone combined with the my internship project during the post-graduate. This article focuses on the research, design and implementation of push service systems in CMMB terminals. For Client Mode, I take Ophone based on OMS platform for example; I also introduce the CMMB Local Browser Mode on CECT S90 cell phone which is based on Linux platform.
