With the development of wireless communications, the technologies of wireless network planning develop fast. The arrival of the era of 3G brings new issues to wireless network planning. At present, all the 3G standards are based on CDMA technology. CDMA is characterized by all users sharing the same bandwidth, and the timeslot. The coverage, capacity and quality of the network have close relation, and the network presents a dynamic and soft character. This determines that the UMTS network planning is a very big complex. UMTS wireless network planning must use simulation tools.At this stage, network planning for TD-SCDMA is of great importance. Only high-quality network planning could help TD-SCDMA network quickly pass through the initial instability stage of growth to an outstanding network that can greatly reflect the operator's competitiveness. However, TD-SCDMA system's complexity and increasing user requirements on the network quality has introduced great challenge to the network planning, besides more experienced and skilled engineers are needed for the new requirements of TD-SCDMA network planning, and the Advanced Network planning tools for the requirements are also very urgent.First of all, this paper gives a brief introduction of the TD-SCDMA network structure, key technologies and the physical layer; and then, this paper intrduces the significance of TD-SCDMA wireless network planning, the process of designing TD-SCDMA wireless network planning software; in the last, this paper describes the data modeling in TD-SCDMA wireless network planning and a new plan for manipulate data in different database by introducing the abstract factory design pattern.With the evolution of TD-SCDMA, the standardization of HSPA and HSPA+ has been introduced and developed a lot. The last part of this paper also gives a brief expection for the data modeling of TD-SCDMA wireless network planning.
