The Design And Implementation Of Intelligent Parking Management System

With the explosive growth of the retain number of automobiles and the shortage of land, the parking problems are widespread in cities. This urgent situation led to the development of Parking Industry.However,the parking management technology is backward in china, which led to the plight of parking management.Using the information technology to transform the existing car park and establish an intelligent parking management system helps to improve the current urban traffic conditions.Relied on the intelligent parking project in Xi'an,this paper proposed a solution called Intelligent Parking Management System.The system can provide an informationalized avenue to manage all public Parking-lots in the city efficiently.For this, we need to set up an Intelligent Parking Management Center(IPMC) in each city.The IPMC will manage all the public Parking-lots by computer network and provide state informations of parking-lots to drivers,which could guide the car to the right Parking-lot.To achieve this goal, an information acquisition and transmission system is necessary,so we need to build a vehicle sensor network in metropolitan area.This article is based on the issue mentioned above, and the key points include:developing a new type of vehicle sensors;to establish a Multi-level vehicle sensor network in each Parking-lot;realizing the telecommunication between the Parking-lots and IPMC by ethernet technology, and ultimately establish a complete system.In addition,this article also involves the application of the car parking information,such as parking guidance system, time-billing system,parking information publish system, etc.This section is only a concept,which is to pave the way for the follow-up actions.
