With success of second-phase water storage project for the Three Gorges Reservoir, water environment of the reservoir area has changed from typical river water to a kind of water body like lake. Meanwhile the water flow slows down and its self-purification ability decreases. In counties and towns along the Yangtze River within Three Gorges Reservoir area, annual emission amount of industrial wastewater and domestic sewage is nearly 25 million tons, most of which is directly poured into the Yangtze River without treating. Water environment of the reservoir area is severely threatened by several pollutions including eutrophication, heavy metals, organic and inorganic compounds. Therefore, this is an urgent taskthe that to be effective real-time monitoring of water quality in Three Gorges reservoir area, water environmental protection and to strengthen governance, and to solve our water crisis.At present,the degree of automation and information of the Water quality monitoring system in our country is inadequate.With the developing of the computer network technology,the communications technology and automation technology.there is so inportant for Three Gorges reservoir area of environmental security issues that how to design the Water quality monitoring on the Three Gorges reservoir area and how to establish a management information system of Three Gorges Reservoir area water quality objectives.This paper analysised of GPRS wireless communications based on the Three Gorges reservoir area environmental monitoring of water quality management information system,then designed and implementation of the system.The subject came from International Cooperation Ministry of Science and major projects of"Micro-environmental monitoring system of the Three Gorges reservoir area".This subject Put forward using the chemical pretreatment technology, microelectronics, MEMS technologies and image sensor technology to study that Based on the principle of multi-spectral analysis of integrated online testing equipment unit,which could be contented the requirement of Many applications over the water quality of online testing.This paper first analysised of the structural system of water quality monitoring and management information system ,and from the system's development model, design principles, development platform aspects of the system's overall program.Designed for wireless communications based on GPRS and SMS messaging communication,which can communicate with the server through the GPRS module and which also ensure data reliability and real-time. According to the management information system needs analysis, database and all the interface functions of the whole system are realized. Finally, real-time and concurrent test are made.As the Three Gorges reservoir area environmental monitoring terminal Microsystems, the system plays a decisive role for the Environmental Monitoring Microsystem. In my design I give full consideration to the expansion of the system, data transmission reliability, accuracy, functionality and practicality of running the economy and other factors.The design model for other areas of application, there are reference values.
