While the business of contemporary enterprises varies as market conditions change, the heterogeneous data of enterprise information systems are increasing. How to effectively integrate and utilize the heterogeneous data in the enterprise to be shared among different systems and operational changes so as to improve the system agility has become an urgent problem.The traditional solutions are to extract data from the underlying data sources to form a centralized database by consistent transformation. This approach needs to memorize a large number of data. It is hard for this approach to rapidly response on business change and to fulfill maximum business value of enterprise data. How to design an integration middleware with scalable, reliable, business agile, reusable, heterogeneous data, and make it pass the service highway, integrate with other applications, collaborate and share data resources, is a hot issue in the research field of current heterogeneous data integration middleware.This thesis analyzes the main problems of the integration of heterogeneous data, and existing solutions with SOA design, using the level of division of SOA, adopting the functionality of services with SOA design, separating logic business in the service, introducing of Web Service, XML and other technologies, providing a heterogeneous data integration approach, and supplying a framework middleware of heterogeneous data integration for SOA (SOA-based Heterogeneous Data Integration Middleware, SHDIM ). This framework describes the various service interfaces and major functional modules, and gives out the overall work of the framework. Through the global mapping of the middleware of users-defined SQL and the establishment of operational statement of SHDIM among heterogeneous data, it can shield the system operating platform of different heterogeneous data sources, databases of operating environment, and the nature of the internal data structure of the heterogeneous data, provide in the form heterogeneous data to query, add, delete, and modify for operation. This provides users with an access to a variety of heterogeneous database interfaced for secondary development to achieve the effective integration of heterogeneous data.Finally, this thesis briefly introduces SHDIM middleware application, and gives the test methods and test examples to prove initially the validation of the SOA-based heterogeneous data integration middleware, and the technical feasibility. It also proves that the theory is correct and is basically able to solve the platform heterogeneous, database system heterogeneous and part of the case of semantic level heterogeneous so as to improve the system responsibility to business transformative agility.
