Research And Design On Database Middleware Base On SOA

With the rapid growth of information,more and more applications require access to a variety of heterogeneous data sources.Database Middleware(DBM) provide amount of technical support to solve these problems.However,DBM is a traditional tightly coupled application model.The information systems are designed rather than starting from scratch,but based on the original legacy data source systems on how to integrate these applications together.How to build an agile, general-purpose,scalable,cost-effective DBM will be a challenge.So that distributed software development in various heterogeneous application systems will be integrated and they can be shared between the application logic and data resources.In this paper,DBM based on theoretical foundation of SOA is the main research work as follows:1) This paper analyzes the existence issues of heterogeneous system integration, introduces a number of existing heterogeneous systems integration solutions to this problem.Service-Oriented Architecture(SOA) is introduced in the design of DBM.Then a SOA-based middleware architecture of the database(SDM) is proposed.The interface and hierarchical model under SDM is given,and the main process is intoduced.2) Data service is the core mechanism in SDM.A UDDI-based management of data services is designed as a way to share data resources.According to the requirement of data service,some descriptions and definitions are designed and implemented;application programming interface of UDDI is extended.The structure of the proposed mechanism framework and its advantages in managing data services is described as well.3) In order to sharing data,the data must be unified to be understanded and transformed in database middleware.The public Data Model(XSDM) is applied in this work to standardize the heterogeneous metadata under all stages of SDM environment.4) This paper demonstrates and summarizes the main work by a case of data campus construction.The implementation method of SDM is summarized through this case.Through the research and implement,this work shows that the database middleware based on SOA is a practical and feasible solution to heterogeneous data integration.
