Workflow Middleware Research And Design Based On Service Oriented Architecture

With the development of information technology applied in corporation, heterogeneous information system integration has become one of hotspots in the research.. Because heterogeneous information system is running on the different platform or implemented by different information technology, so it is necessary to develop a middleware which supports different data exchange technology completed by heterogeneous system. In addition to the data exchanging between different heterogeneous, the workflow middleware which schedules all the service hosted by different heterogeneous to complete a business process is becoming a key role in heterogeneous information system integration.This paper describes the way to design and develop a workflow middleware based on Service Oriented Architecture in heterogeneous information system integration. Heterogeneous information system exchanges XML data with middleware using the way supported by heterogeneous including Web Service,JMS,IBMMQ,MSMQ,EJB. Heterogeneous information system's function should be divided according to some particle size and registered as service in middleware. Then middleware schedules and executes all the registered service according to business process.This paper has described the requirement of middleware, general design and detail design which include user case diagrams, concept diagrams, sequence diagrams and class diagrams. Now the workflow middleware has been developed and deployed in business project.There are six chapters in this paper.First chapter introduces the situation of research on workflow middleware based on service oriented architecture home and abroad.Second chapter described the history of workflow technology, definition of workflow, framework of workflow and research content.Third chapter described the characters of service oriented architecture, principle of application development and the different technology used in this architecture.Forth chapter described the theory of workflow middleware based on service oriented architecture, this chapter has analyzes the requirement of system through different role including service provider, service invoker and service middleware.Fifth chapter described the design of workflow middleware based on service oriented architecture including user case diagram, concept diagram, sequence diagram and class diagram.Sixth chapter described the development of the middleware including the definition of interface and picture of the running system.Last chapter summary the theory and application of the workflow middleware based on service oriented architecture and described the trend of the research.
