With the improvement of the level on culture lives, people's require to civilization and arts is consequently increased, stage as an important carrier of culture and arts in theaters, which brings forward even more requests to the development of the stage technology, the new-style stage machinery control system is needed to be not only function-rich but also more dependable and handily operational to meet a higher control requirements. Therefore, study on stage machinery is much more significant. At present, china lags behind the developed countries in the filed of stage techniques in general, large stage machinery control systems are generally introduced from foreign products, relatively high costs. Therefore, to promote the stage technology in China, the study of this field is even more meaningful.Relay and contactor are commonly used in traditional stage machinery control system. This leads to low reliability of the system. Programmable logic controller (PLC) is a perfect combination of traditional relay-contactor system and computer technology. It is widely used in industrial control systems for its higher reliability and user-friendliness. Stage machinery control system had gone through three phases that from relay-connector control to PLC control and then computer control.The purpose of this study is design a control system which is able to meet the development needs of the modern stage technology. In recent years, due to the development of configuration technology and field bus technology, that more and more widely used in industrial control systems. Based on MCGS configuration technology, the whole design of stage machine control system was given in the paper, constructed a stage machinery control system based on Profibus-DP, this system uses the distributed computer control system and was made of an IPC and several PLCs, which show a principal and subordinate structure with bus style. The PLC finishes the data collection and receives the order from the IPC and control stage furniture directly. The IPC processes the data from the PLC and sends orders to the PLC at the same time to complete the centralized management and most excellent control.After finishing the whole design of the stage machinery control system, also, the software of the control system was involved in this paper: completed the underlying PLC control program in STEP7 LAD programming environment; the entire control system monitoring interface was designed by the Beijing kunluntongtai MCGS configuration software in the environment of Windows operating system. Real-time monitor, data keeping, long-distance control and alarm function for the spot stage machinery equipment are carried out.At last, in order to solve the difficult problems of nonlinear and uncertain of the scissors elevating platform control system, an Adaline network based on PID controller of self-tuning was constructed. MATLAB simulation result shows that the new method is simple and practical for the control problem of elevating platform, not only the speed,but also the position can be controlled perfectly.
