MANET (Mobile Ad-Hoc Network, called MANET) is a mobile computer network combined with mobile communications and computer networks. It has been widely appreciated because of its flexibility,no strict central nodes,no ground facilities and good survivability and robustness . With the development of mobile ad hoc networks, it has been attracted more and more attraction from military and civilian commercial applications .It can be an independent network and it can be access networks of Internet or cellular. Each mobile node in MANET plays the role of both routers and hosts. As a host, it can run a variety of applications; as a router, it must forward packets. Now, most of the mobile ad hoc networks (MANET) are mainly terrestrial networks, which are running in a low altitude, and the energy is the most important constraint in the routing protocol. Now, the researching of Ad hoc networks forces on the routing protocols, quality of service, MAC protocol, energy consumption, mobility management, security issues and those are also the difficult problems in the researching. But as the network development, the networks on the land, the sea and the air will be as a whole network in the future, and the MANET in the high air will be an important component. The main features of such networks are running in a high altitude, the high speed of the nodes, and the collaboration among the nodes. So we can call this network as high dynamic and collaborating mobile ad hoc network. Now people have proposed a lot of different routing protocols, but each has to adapting to a kind of scene. So basing the features of different scenarios to propose an appropriate routing protocol is an important thing. This paper focuses on the high dynamic and collaboration features of ad hoc network to propose a routing protocol, which suit for the feature of our scene. Our routing protocol combine the advantage of the table-driven protocol and location-aware protocol. We divide the network into some clusters; each cluster has a head of cluster, a gateway and some normal nodes. The head of the cluster takes charge of forwarding the packets; the gateway is in charge of communication between the headers of clusters. The normal nodes send packets but not forwarding them. We use table-driven protocol in the cluster and when the header of cluster chooses the next gateway to another header. This can reduce the delay, and the header always knows which nodes are in its cluster, so we needn't know the position of the normal nodes, only to know the position of header is enough. So we used location-aware protocol when the header chooses the next header of cluster. In this case, we can reduce the pay for updating the position of all the nodes. We use OPNET to implement our protocol, and compare with AODV and GRP to get the Performance.
