Mobile Ad Hoc Wireless Network (MANET) composed of some mobile nodes with wireless communication device is a multi-hop, completed distributed network without pre-established infrastructure and central controller. The MANET can be conveniently set up for communication without pre-established infrastructure everywhere. The MANET is a best choice some mobile nodes need to make up a mobile network. Many researchers have pain much attention on the routing protocols which have played a very important role in the MANET.This paper is mainly about the routing protocols improvement of the Mobile Ad Hoc UAV Network. Because the nodes of the Mobile Ad Hoc UAV Network move in a high speed, the typical routing protocols of the MANET cannot well supply the need of the Mobile Ad Hoc UAV Network. We must do a lot of work to put forward an appropriate routing protocol which can well supply the Mobile Ad Hoc UAV Network. The central content of this paper is as following:1,In this paper, we briefly introduce the significance of the MANET research Then we analyze the characteristic, key technique, the hot spots and application future of the MANET. We also present the background and the significance of the Mobile Ad Hoc UAV Network research.2,Firstly, we describe the typical routing protocols of the MANET. Then we analyze the advantage and disadvantage of these routing protocols. We bring a free software called NS2 which is designed for the network simulation. And we mainly introduce the structure of NS2 and the simulation flow.3,In mobile Ad Hoc UAV network, the nodes of the network move with high speed and the topology of the network changes frequently. These things bring us a lot of challenge in routing protocol design. In order to ensure the performance of the routing protocol improved for the mobile Ad Hoc UAV network we forecast the link state between two mobile nodes and use the link-forecast existing time as the constraint parameter in finding the MPR process. Base on the MPR technique, we add a independent standby_routing strategy to strengthen capability of the routing protocols designed for the mobile Ad Hoc UAV network.4,We use the NS2 to simulate the new Routing Protocols with different scenes. The analysis on the results of simulation shows that:compared with other relative routing protocols, the new routing protocol can get much better integrated performance in the success ratio of data packet delivering, the Average Hops and the end-to-end delay.
