RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) is a non-contact technology for auto-identification. With this technology, target object can be identified automatically by radio frequency signals and relative information can be obtained. During the process of its development, RFID technology has integrated some latest technologies in realms such as computer science, wireless digital communication, IC and electromagnetic field. In RFID system, identified information is stored in a radio frequency tag attached to the object that is to be identified. The reader reads out this information through wireless communication channel between the tag and the reader. Sometimes the reader writes data to the tag. With the advantage of non-contact, rapid scanning, long-distance reading, anti-pollution and high security, RFID is widely used in many fields such as production management, supply chain management, retail industry and public transportation. In addition to the basic concept, the development and application of RFID, this thesis focuses on the related technical principles of RFID system and ISO / IEC 18000-6 Type C protocol. In accordance with this protocol, the framework of the digital processing unit in UHF RFID tag is brought forward and a digital processing circuit that meets the requirements of application is designed. The result of a later test on FPGA platform of this design shows that the digital processing circuit can conduct the required command correctly and the expected function is actualized.
