The courseware is playing the more and more vital role in the multimedia-teaching. In order to generate courseware more and better, people invested a great deal of effort. So far, however, people focus mainly on the courseware manufacture technology and the representation of courseware, but very little pays attention to automatic generation of courseware, which causes that the courseware has to be made manually, wastes the time and the energy. Therefore, CAG has become an interesting research topic. This artical provides new idea for automatic courseware generation through ontology. As a sharing conceptual model, ontology has an outstanding performance in the knowledge representation, sharing, reusing, etc.This article mainly studies the technology of domain ontology construction and CAG, proposes a method for CAG based on the domain ontology. The research work as follows:(1) Research on ontology learning methodogiesThe knowledge about ontology and ontology learning are introduced. Several common methods of ontology learning are studied and compared. Features of these methods are analyzed and summarized. The key technologies for ontology learning are researched, including concept extracting, concept relation extracting.(2) Construct domain ontologyThe terminology is a fundamental element to describing domain concept, so the extracting terminology is the first step of domain ontology automatic learning. The user-defined domain dictionary is used during the lexical analysis, which improves the lexical analysis effect. The best matching algorithm based on segment unit is proposed, which can extract the undiscriminating terminology composed of phrases. The TFIDF method is used to analyze terminology domain relevance score and to extract the concept.The concept vector space model are established by using the VSM-based method. The comparability between concepts are calculated by using the cosine similarity and the semantics similarity method based on HowNet together, it enhances the calculation accuracy. And then extracts the taxonomy relation between the concepts by clusterring concepts hierarchically. The domain ontology is constructed through these methods.(3) CAG based on domain ontologyThe rule of courseware manufacture is summarized by studing and analyzing a number of courseware. The impact of the Teaching Outline on the courseware is studied. The method of calculating Knowledge Amount is proposed. The method of getting courseware content from the domain ontology is proposed. The method of arranging courseware content according to Knowledge Amount in the courseware file is proposed. The courseware is automatically generated through these methods.In the expirement, this article take "University Computer Foundation" as the example, construct this course partial domain ontology by using the above methods, generate partial ppt courseware based on the ontology. The analysis of the experiment results shows that it can generate a courseware with more complete content and more reasonable organization, to a certain extent, which can alleviate the shortage of CAG.The main research innovation is lied in the method of calculating Concept Knowledge Amount. The concept Knowledge Amount is calculated with the teaching-aims and the difficult-important-point propertied of the concept. On the one hand this method take into account the particularity of the concept's content, on the other hand it can arrange courseware content in the courseware file.
