Along with the rising of international competition for talent, each country's emphasis on the modernization of education has been increasing. The new teaching forms and the new teaching ideas are constantly emerging. Such as, Smart Education, Data-driven Learning, MOOCs, Flipped classrooms, etc., all of which need the support of high-quality teaching resources. However, the existing courseware resources have poorer quality, lower sharing rate, and inefficiency in updating and generating, which seriously restricts the further development of Information Communication Technology supporting teaching. This paper proposes a new kind of structured courseware and we designed and implemented structured courseware automatic generation system.There are two kinds of structured courseware presentation, the script courseware and video courseware. Script courseware consists of the virtual teachers, voice scripts and teaching contents. Teaching presentation displays diverse forms such as PPT, Word, web pages, images and other styles. Virtual teachers mainly through three-dimensional computer design technology and rendering virtual characters instead of real teachers in courseware to explain the teaching content to the learner. Voice script is determined by the teaching content, and it can be converted to the voices of virtual teachers by Text-to-Speech technology, generating support teaching video courseware through synchronization and automatic generation technologies. This structured file format is not only in favor of a script to update and improve the teaching content, improve the production efficiency of courseware, but also creates the conditions for the automatic generation of future intelligent courseware. Both forms of courseware file formats can be a better solution for the quick updates based on script courseware as background and video courseware as foreground.(1) Functional requirements and performance requirements of the system were analyzed from the perspective of educational software engineering. The main functional requirements were analyzed from the input of system, material editing, virtual teachers' generation, video recording, screen recording, output and help, etc. About the performance, we mainly discussed the integrity, scalability and usability of the system.(2) The basic features of the software were detailed design. We designed the fundamental functions of the system based on the basic requirements, in which the virtual teacher and voice script are key points. The function of virtual teachers mainly consists of image, language, movement, facial expressions and other aspects; Voice script area includes automatic input and the personalized presentation of the text, which is benefit for the personalized realization of the virtual pronunciation.(3) Developed a prototype system of structured courseware, and verified the scientific and rationality of the functional design of the system. We mainly developed the automatic pronunciation of the virtual teacher, and it can adjust begin, stop, volume, timbre, and the speed of sound, etc.
