With the vigorous development of China railways industry, especially last year, the Wuhan-Guangzhou high-speed railway in use, as well as a nationwide high-speed railway investment in construction,making quality assurance and maintenance of the railway become very important.Large railway maintenance machine plays a very important role in ensuring the quality of railway.Remote monitoring system can monitor the electrical system on the tamping machine to achieve the goal of supervising the working state and working quality curve in local and remote place at the same time.So it ensures the quality of railway and has an important role in promoting the development of railway.Windows CE is one of today's mainstream embedded operating system. It has the strong power of real time and reliability and so on. As its application development platform, Embedded Visual C++(EVC) supports a subset of MFC class library.So developers who are familiar with Win32 programming can quickly turn to embedded development under WinCE. So the locomotive supervisory system chooses WinCE as the operating system.This paper researches the development of remote monitoring system and gives the whole structure of vehicle supervisory system on large railway maintenance machine. It adopts Platform Builder which is the integrated development environment to customize the Windows CE embedded real-time operating system. According to the work reliability request of maintenance machine, it analyzes the system's demands and adopts object-oriented technology and UML modeling language to establish the static structure and dynamic behavior model of supervisory system.On this basis, this paper uses Embedded Visual C++ as development tool to design the supervisory system's core functions,such as the data communication,data processing,data disply,file management,configuration of CAN collecting module and GPRS wireless communication module. In addition, for practical applications, the development of Windoows CE OS control software can prevent the operator's misuse of the software.Through the use of the software, maintenance machine operators can observe the working status and working quality of the machine clearly. It greatly increases the speed and quality of railway's maintenance. In the collaboration with the rest parts of remote monitoring system, the locomotive supervisory system achieved the remote monitoring of locomotive function. The software has worked in the scene and the results indicated that the system is stable and reliable when running.
