Following fast growth of mobile communication network,3G networks have been officially on use. Operators Compete more vehemently on data services between each other. In order to develop their own data services, Operators need to rely on handset makers, to do a range of software customization. Handset manufacturers can rely on large operators to promote efforts to seize every opportunity to promote their end products. So mobile phone software customization has become a main cooperation mode between handset manufacturers and operators.This paper describes the history of SACCO which is semi-automated software customization tool of Sony Ericsson, analyses the architecture, work flow and roles of SACCO. With the deepening of phone customization cooperation of operators, more than more customizing mobile phones, the deepening of customizing contents, how to make the SACCO system sustainably and efficiently complete software customization task is an important issue after increasing workload conditions. The core of this paper is how to optimize phone software customization process based on SACCO mobile operator point of view. To resolve this core issue we need to study from below two ways:First is to analyze existing software defect management. This paper studies current defect database of HB109 software platform, analyzes defect process of ClearQuest system, more in-depth understands these defects in every aspect of treatment, effectively uses defect management system to help the smooth development of mobile phone software customization.Second is to do the software customization classification, statistics and analysis. They are the important reference of optimizing mobile phone software customization process. The paper describes the classification of software defects in processing and the defect analysis methods. The paper detailed analyzes the software defect distribution of each role in SACCO, effective defect distribution, serious defect distribution and test stage distribution by major analysis method, and analyzes typical defect of each role by example.By analyzing the software defect of HB109 platform and software defect classification, statistics and analysis, this paper provides the ultimate suggestion of customization process using SACCO system:In one hand, based on defect classification, statistics and analysis of each role of software customization, the demand input for the link, link configuration file package build, test process on some areas, work methods and personnel adjustments, improvements to optimize the whole mobile phone software customization process; In another hand, in accordance with previous occurrence of the typical defects of the history of the important lessons learned, process improvement programs targeted to prevent such problems from happening again.These recommendations together for the follow-up phone software customization process improvement provides a strong theory and data support, but also for mobile software development projects to improve the sustainability of development has provided the template.
