With the development of MEMS and wireless communication, the technology of wireless sensor network is going to be more mature. Also, it will be more widely applied in the fields such as: military defense, agriculture and industrial control, urban management, biomedicine, environmental monitoring and so on.This paper is on the background of industrial automation field, and is designed for a wireless sensor network of the oven temperature measurement.Firstly, this paper introduce the present research and the characteristic of WSN, and also the key technology of Zigbee.Secondly, for the application of WSN on industrial automation, it is manifested that the amount of data transmitted from the different sensor nodes are different, and sensor nodes are often installed on the production line fixedly. Considering that, a new network model and an addressing division based energy-efficient protocol (Addr protocol) are proposed. With the new network model, the LEACH protocol and Addr protocol are simulated, which verified the energy efficiency and robustness of Addr protocol.Thirdly, with the chip of CC2430,a platform for WSN is set up. Also, it describes the hardware and software design for this WSN.Finally, the experiments of the network accomplish the data transmission and temperature measurement, which verified the reliability and accuracy of this WSN.
