Mobile computer network has become the latest development of mobile communication technology, and has groomed a lot in past few years.Major reasons are requirements for being mobile or connectivity on moving. The most important characteristic of wireless communication is that the mobile terminal has the ability to maintain communication with the outside world, while it is moved.WSN has the characteristics while other networks can not have. The key point whether the network can communicate effectively is that routing protocols are strengths or weaknesses. This thesis analyzes the characteristics of WSN and gives design factors which need to be considered in wireless sensor network.Based on the analysis to the typical routing algorithm, the typical cluster-based routing protocols-LEACH and PEGASIS are mainly studied and analyzed. Then some improvements to LEACH are brought forward. Finally,an energy consumption balanced routing algorithm-EBLP is proposed. The improved algorithm considers the remaining energy and the optimal distribution of nodes when selecting cluster head.At the same time using the advantages of PEGASIS to make sure that cluster structure is more reasonable. Cluster heads communicate with the sink node through the inter-cluster multi-hop routing tree.At the end of this thesis,we describes the simulation method and the common simulation platform. In combination with the characteristics of wireless sensor network,I finally choose NS2 to simulate and analyze the improved algorithm. The results of simulation show that the improved algorithm can balance the energy consumption and prolong the lifetime of network.
