The Narrative Study On The Economic News Of Southern Weekend

Southern Weekend is an influential comprehensive newspaper of our country. Since its foundation, Southern Weekend has been studied by many scholars. The research interests involved its sections of news, commentary, and culture and so on, and the research all focused on experience summarization and system analysis, which omitted the economy sections.Because of the intensive competition between financial media, the journalist must understand financial information. Besides, they need to go deep into details and report attractive as well as intelligible news. So, the paper will discuss the narration rules of Southern Weekend's economic news with the introduction of narratology theory whose key research subject is the internal form of text. And hope the paper can be a guidance of journalism and communication in practice.The paper has five chapters. The first chapter outlined related theories of narrotology and news narrotology. The second chapter summarized the most frequently-used narrator types and concluded the characteristics of the using of narrator in Southern Weekend's economic news. The third chapter summarized the rules of using narration time by analyzing the economic news. In the forth chapter, the author discussed the point of view in the Southern Weekend's economic news and concluded that the news adopted mainly complex angles supplemented by limited angles. The fifth chapter analyzed two narration strategies——news story writing and the hard news softening.In order to find out the narration rules of Southern Weekend's economic news, the author adopted equidistance sample method and sampled 125 articles from 2007's to 2010's Southern Weekend economic news, and analyzed its narrator, narration time, narrative point of view and narration strategy with case study method and literature analytic method.
