The publishing industry is the main vehicle for cultural transmission,but also a country characterized by soft power.For China's Publishing Industry going to the world,different experts hold different views.Most of them analyze the problem and propose the solution from the point of view of expanding the copyright export.From another perspective, however, I put forward the topic:going to the world in foreign language books."Going out" of the publication is sure to inevitably involve two different languages:mother tongue and foreign language.From this perspective, China's Publishing Industry "going out"in two ways,one is in Chinese books,the other is in foreign language books.It's well known to us that books "going out"in Chinese,are in the main area of ethnic Chinese,overseas Chinese and Chinese-speaking readers.China's books have not produced an overall impact on European and American countries.Based on the analysis of relevant research achievements and materials,I analyze the definition of "foreign language books to the world"and difficulty of "Chinese books to the mainstream of European and American countries".Then I put forward my view -at this stage,and for the foreseeable future,it's wise that China's Publishing Industry should be the main foreign language books to the world. Specifically,when the timing and conditions are not available,we first use foreign language books to open the international book market,to win foreign readers'"heart", but also to earn their money.Once the timing and conditions are ripe,we then use Chinese books to occupy the international book market,to express Chinese people sounds,to disseminate Chinese culture with Chinese characters and ultimately establish the right of Chinese discourse.In the course of disscusion, I use the communication science,linguistics,editing and publishing,economics and international trade-related academic knowledge,using comparative analysis,chart analysis,case method and inductive method.In addition to "Introduction"and the first chapter,the main contents of this article the following three chapters.Chapter Two discusses the four ways of China's Publishing Industry going to the world in foreign language:internal self-publication of foreign language books;the books of Chinese and foreign language;co-operation and foreign direct investment of transnational companies running publication.Right to their own circumstances and characteristics were analyzed.Chapter Three refers China's Publishing Industry should be actively plan publication of an export-oriented books,according to the unique needs and acceptance of ways of Western readers,using language they can understand their own text books tailored for them. Specific proposed six kinds of strategies,namely,the internationalization of positioning topics, the internationalization of the author, the internationalization of the editing,translation,promotion, image visualization and books designed to form to beautify.Chapter Four means:in addition to relying on self-publishing business efforts,but also the Chinese government's support and funding. To encourage and support "going to the world"of publishing industy,Chinese Government should follow:co-publishing and foreign funded projects;provision of financial support for foreign publishing houses;increase of funding Translation and Publishing;attach importance to export-oriented writers and external translation of talent;increase the input-oriented books;set up a good three major platforms.Chinese Government take measures to promote China's publishing enterprises to the world.Of course,in the course of "going to the world",the help and co-operation of publishing industry associations,mass media and society as a whole is essential.
