Based on that, the system architecture, database design and achievements of the system are proposed in detail. At the same time, the display devices used in the guidance information management system and pivotal technologies in the system design are also introduced. Moreover, the paper introduced the developed platform and the software which were used in the design of guidance information management system.Through the design of the guidance information management system, the mode of Client/Server was used, the iFIX was used as the developed platform and the Active Data Object was used to access the database. The communication mode of Ethernet was used through the design of the communication with the display devices. At last, the system achieved the prospective goal. So as to perfect the design of the system, the paper raised some suggestions for the further design.The design of guidance information management system has developmental prospects and will be applied to the railway station.
