Railway station's passenger guidance information system is a key process in the construction of railway passenger service information system. The essence of passenger guidance is via interactive information communication to enhance rationality and timelyness of passengers' decision-making, thus guide passengers accomplishing their comfortable and convenient travels. To a great extent ,passenger guidance was viewed as a human-oriented information service of railway station.Up to now, the passenger guidanc service qualities in railway stations of China still remain under-developed generally, indicated by lack of timeliness, accuracy and automization of guidance information, along with inadequate utilization and sharing capability of guidance information. To cater for information demands which passgenger concern, and achieve the mutual interaction and sharing of information between railway operators and customers, the research and development of Railway station's passenger guidance information system is of great significance.On the base of a thorough investigation and analysis to information demands of common passengers, as well as work course and passengers arrangement method in railway station, the system was devided into two subsystems, which are pre-guidance system and real-time guidance respectively. In accordance with functional requirement of each sub-system, particular function description of each module was presented. Meanwhile, the database design was proposed in detail.Microsoft's .NET is a prevailing solution in information system development area. The thesis intensively introduces the infrastructure of Microsoft's .NET Framework, especially its two components including ASP.NET and ADO.NET. With an underlying B/S multi-tier architecture based on .NET technology, the application is featured by high cohesion with low coupling. Furthermore, The specific design scheme for each logical layer and its implement detail was demonstrated. The application system automatizes the collection and processing of guidance information, laying a solid foundation for future research.
