Design And Implementation Of Remote Service In Enterprise' Information Management System

Gansu Power Transmission and Transformation Engineering Company is a First Grade qualification construction unit approved by the state. In 2000, she carried out a management information system project. As a construction company, the most important requirement to an information system is its remote service capability. Yet today's MIS can't afford these functions, which affected company's management deeply. Aimed at these defects, a B/S based scheme was brought forward on the basis of analysis to MIS. A research task was established to solve these problems.The development and application history of network technologies were reviewed briefly at first. Then, three phases of Web technologies were introduced as well. Several kinds of dynamic web pages technologies were analyzed, compared each other and the technologies development trends were given out. Later, the ASP work principles and main characteristics were introduced and its component-based, affairs supporting merits were referred out. Database accessing technology of ASP and the process of ADO database accessing were described finally.In order to meet the need of remote visit to the data of MIS, a database interface system was designed. In system design, software engineering method was adopted. The design process included requirement analysis, general design, detail design and code design. By the use of ADO technology, database access was realized. Additionally, documents management was developed, which enable users to accomplish the operations under browsers. COM technology was introduced in system design. File system and database technology were combined in this system, while the former can stored the content of documents and the latter can store the authors, position, size and type of documents. Considering that the system may face all kinds of users, a purview mechanism was designed which had the similarity of windows operation system. Two instances of system presented at last to reflect the effects of system design.In discourse research, many kinds of software technologies were applied. Web pages technology was introduced in interface design. COM technology was adopted in database access and file upload process. The research extended the remote service ability of MIS. It was an application practice of ASP technology.
