SOA is one of the focused researches in industry and academia in recent several years. A new architecture, featured with the characteristic of loosely coupled, coarse-grained and so on is built by utilizing a variety of existing technologies. The most important function of this architecture is eliminating the integration issue between different system platforms and architectures, and to solve the problems of reusability and "information island "which has plagued the software industry for many years. Therefore it has become the main architecture to build the enterprises' IT systems.Computer supported cooperative work offers cooperative work environment for distributed locations users through computer technology and communications. The solution is provided for group members to collaborate on a task.Starting from its related technologies, this thesis describes the details of SOA, and semantic web service was introduced. The author makes analysis on the characteristics of cooperating software in heterogeneous environment, loosely coupled, business processes, distributed environment and other aspects, and then does a comparison with those of SOA. Further, a SOA-based cooperative architecture and its implementation are proposed aiming at the characteristic of existing cooperative architecture and SOA system. The cooperative architecture is endowed with a good adaptability to Internet environment and featured distributing, loosely coupled and self-definition of the workflow. The defects of the traditional cooperative architecture, namely tightly coupled and unable to customize the workflow, are solved. The automatic selection of business process is automatically implemented through workflow engine basing on BPEL, and the cooperative work of the system is further implemented. Finally, an example is given to prove the feasibility of the model. Cooperative work and highly extensible is well implemented by this example.
