Based On The Condition Of Petri Nets Research And Implementation Of Workflow Models And Tools

With the development of information technology and management theory, and with the widely use of computer and networks, workflow technology becomes a new hotpot in the area of computer application. It is very important to study the technology in-depth, since it can significantly improve the information standard, and operation efficiency of enterprises, hence make them more competitive.Following the Reference Model of WFMC, this paper designs a Internet-based Distributed WfMS(IDWFMS). IDWFMS adopt the three-tier model and use Java RMI to communicate between the components. It is well reliable, administrable and flexible.Work model is the key of the realization of a WfMS. This paper presents a new workflow model, which based the conditional Petri net, and it is the theory base of a IDWFMS. This model consists of both process model describing business process and organization model describing enterprise staff environment. The model provides the matching mechanism between the process model and the organization model, and support assigning tasks dynamically. Based on the model, we design and realize a visual workflow definition tool which provide collaboration, by which the designer can create the process flow diagram, organization diagram and role/function chart.
