With amount of internal combustion engine increasing and exploitable oil decreasing,new combustion technologies for low fuel consumption and clean exhaust gas are urgent.Electric control high pressure common rail technology used on diesel engine fuel system is considered as critical way to resolve it efficiently.In order to make mechanical fuel injection mode converted into electric control high pressure common rail injection mode on 4135 diesel engine,simulation model consists of high pressure pump,common rail pipe and injector is established with GT-FUEL software to research fuel injection characteristics;a 4135 diesel engine functional model is built with GT-POWER software to investigate the performance and combustion process on converted engine;a controller simulation model is set up with MATLAB/Simulink software to study the whole system stability.In addition,on the GT-FLOW software platform,the high pressure common rail system model and the functional model are coupled,then the coupled simulation model considered as a module or controlled objection is embed into the Simulink model.So the whole simulation model used for 4135 electric control common rail diesel engine is achieved with three different models coupled eventually.The accuracy and reliability of the model are verified by comparing the simulation results with the experimental data.In this paper,the influence of fuel injection pressure and injection timing on combustion process,engine power and economy are exploited.The results show that in order to achieve low fuel consumption and low emission,the injection timing and fuel injection pressure should be optimized according to engine performance,injection timing-10°CA,fuel injection pressure 80 Mpa are suitable on engine speed 1200r/min and injection timing-15°CA,fuel injection pressure 90 Mpa are resonable on engine speed 1500r/min respectively and fuel injection quantity and speed stability are improved by PID controller involved.
