The Diversity Service Model In China's Research University Libraries

With the globalization of information, rich content of information resources presents diversity in forms. The information needs of library users also appear to be diversified. How to build a diversity service models to meet the diversity needs of customers has become increasingly concerned by the library profession. In China, the study on the library diversity is still in its infancy. This article will bring foreign advanced concepts about diversity service model into the domestic, and start the research on diversity service model which is consistent with China's national conditions from the library of research university which can extremely present the level of development of libraries with international standards in China, and build a set of library diverse service model to meet diverse requirements of users.First, by using public management, the theory of Library and Information Science and drawing on the successful experience of libraries in American Research University and analyzing the characteristics of China's research universities, and the type of library readers, analyze the research needs of university library user groups were. Secondly, to user needs as the center, between the departments in the vertical horizontal working group, built for Research University Library of flat matrix-style service model to meet the diverse needs of readers. Finally, by analyzing the case of the library of Dalian University of Technology, this article puts forward the problem in diversity service. Then this article propose measures from exploring new service mechanism, strengthening resource sharing, building a digital services platform and improving institutional management system.
