University Library Innovative Service Model

With the expansion of information resources, and the contradiction between the diversity of users'need and the limitation of services that libraries can provide,the traditional ways of services of university libraries are facing challenges. "Information commons "concept originated form "commons" theory which applied in the field of information. Theconstruction of information commons is a new hot spot in the study of the current information service pattern in the library field, representing a new trend in the development of university libraries abroad. Information commons meets readers'and researchers'need for access to information and exchange of information, as a new integrated innovative service pattern which provides the perfect combination of technology and service for library users and establishes a "user-oriented" way of service and an easy sharing and learning environment. Information commons satisfies the library users'changing demands for information, gains a good chance for the sustainable development.Based on the background mentioned above, this research paper focuses on the construction of information commons, describing its status quo, makes a thorough and systematic study and analysis of the experimental model of and problems with information commons at home and abroad by means of a scientific analytical research method on the basis of information commons fundamental theories and studying abundant relevant literature and documents. Through three levels model, this research paper provides information commons design guidance and notes the problems which should pay attention to information commons construction. The end part gives an application example. It studies the case of the construction of Information Commons in Yunnan Radio & TV University new library. This research paper offers people a comprehensive and deep understanding of information commons, and promotes the development of new ways of services in university librariesIn the process of writing paper, paper for a large number of network and database retrieval, in possession of detailed documentation, based on the integrated use of web-based survey, questionnaire surveys, expert survey method, comparative analysis, case analysis and graph method other research methods.Paper will focus on two aspects:First, China University Library Information Commons building status analysis; the second is to build in space for information sharing should be noted that the issue of collaboration, staff training, service organizations, service standards and other issues were discussed.Paper innovation is reflected in two aspects:First, information sharing space on the domestic research of a more comprehensive understanding and analysis of the formation of the theory by comparing the research results; Second is the information sharing space in the build process should pay attention to the issues comprehensive.
