This article makes an attempt of applying embedding remote image capture technology to greenhouse monitoring on the basis of a thorough understanding of greenhouse monitoring technology. It obtains crops'growing conditions and pest information through collecting crops'image information, temperature and humidity. This information collected can give guidance to producers or persons who manage and make decisions. So this paper applies knowledge on telecommunications and networking to research that information and network transmission by embedding technology. This study proposes the following:On the hardware side, it applies design patterns which are including the core plate and deputy board. The host controller of core board is based on the ARM920T core microcontrollers S3C2440A. Vice board uses single chip processor. They communicate through the serial port. USB camera, which is connected to the motherboard, is used to collect image. Temperature and humidity data is collected by temperature and humidity sensor on the deputy board. All collected data is transmitted to a host PC for processing or releasing.On the software side, it applies Microsoft's WinCE.NET embedded operating system, and uses PlateformBuilder tools for cropping the operating system. Then it is the ultimate success of transplanting it to the core board. It creates a suitable platform for developing application procedures. On this platform, it collects images using the cross-platform software VS2005, and transfers procedures. Vice-board temperature and humidity, digital display, serial port driver is done by using C language. Eventually collected image information, temperature and humidity information will be transmitted to the host computer. These data are dealt with the ASP and Access and are shown to the majority of agricultural experts in the form of the site.
