Research And Design Of Textbook Management System For Higher Vocational College

With the development of computer network, informatization becomes inevitable tendency to the development of society. And using the computer information management system to improve management level, work efficiency, teaching quality of campus is the only road for the development of higher vocational college. Textbook management, as a key section in management of colleges, is still using manual management or a stand-alone system. Therefore, in order to normalize the process of textbook management, reduce the human mistake, and improve the level of teaching and research, it is necessary to study and design an information system that meet the requirements of modern textbook management.After researched the situation of textbook management systems at home and abroad, this paper proposes the design thoughts and principle of the system according to the requirement of textbook management system. Moreover, the physical and logical security solutions for the system are also given. According to the analytics of current software development technology, it presents a method that use Struts,Spring,Hibernate framework and Ajax with YUI toolkit to develop the system. Besides, the paper analyzes the feasibility of the system development.In addition, this paper used the Object-oriented technique to build the model of the textbook management system based on the concrete analysis of the textbook management business process. It also uses the mainstream J2EE platform to implement a textbook management system that based on B/S architecture. The system provides an information platform for teachers, students and managers in the college. It not only provides managers with functions such as textbook plan management, warehouse management, charge querying, but also helps student order textbook that they needed over internet. The system reduces the work strength of textbook management, realizes the informationized management of textbook, and ensures teaching quality. After taking the tests of system on functionality, performance, user interface, compatibility and security, the system shows many advantages like easy operation, secure reliable and strong adaptability. Therefore, the system can meet the demands of textbook management and bring about obvious benefit to the college.
