Ethernet is a kind of computer networking technology, It is the most widely LAN technology, which largely replaced the other local area network.V.35 interface is a high-speed synchronous data interface , it used for 6O ~ 108kHz-based group circuit 48kbit / S data remote transmission of modem equipment standards. So it widely used in routers, data acquisition system and multimedia video terminal. For example, it is used in a bank network, power system communications, railways and other communication systems which require high reliability of the communication and high-security institutions.Therefore, The completion of the two different communication interface has the significant practical significance, for traditional network and etheric network interconnection ,and the expanding of LAN , etc.The main objective of this paper is to complete the interface conversion between the Ethernet and the V.35 on the standard CPCI boards.From the functional point, the subjects can be divided into two parts: the function of data conversion and the function of CPCI interface communication. The data conversion realized the mutual conversion between V.35 interface and Ethernet interface; V.35 interface data conversion between the data; CPCI interface communication functions are realized through the Ethernet controller RTL8139C, and use it to build a CPCI cardThe paper introduces the Ethernet, the communication and applications of V.35 interfaces, the feature of CPCI bus and the principle of Ethernet-V.35 converter. It focuses on the design of hardware and software, The hardware includes Ethernet-V.35 converter module, CPLD interface conversion and clock Module, level translation Module, CPCI card module, MCU control Module, PHY interconnect module, serial communications module,and so on. This paper also discusses the high-speed signal layout and EMI in PCB design process. The software includes the design of ARM processor, the convertion of V.35 interface, the VHDL design for Nx64K clock generator, the design of serial communication. Finally, the paper give the experimental results, the results show that the system can realize the conversion between Ethernet and V.35, with high stability and low cost.
