In recent years, the design method of the current model circuit is insteading of the design method of the voltage model circuit for their speed,precision bandwidth and dynamic range etc. The development and application of the current model circuit will push the modern analog circuits to a new stage. The second generation current conveyor (CCⅡ) as the most common building blocks module in the current model circuit has gained the attention of research.The second generation current conveyor has been used as the most important and versatile active building blocks in current model circuit. Today the replace the conventional OPAMP in so many applications such as active filters,analog signal procession and A/D,D/A converters. The function of CCⅡis mainly decide by the accuracy of current and voltage transfer,so we must adopt the fit circuit structure to achieve an accurate voltage control and high current driving capability.The analog filter is an important developing direction in filter; Current signal processing is one of the most important methods in analog integrated filters. The research of the continuous time filter based on CCⅡas the most common building blocks module is more important.Filter constituted by one input conventional CCⅡand RC have two faults:(a) directing and feedback of current can't coexist (b) filter circuit is too complex. The modified multi-output CCⅡis presented to solve two faults.In this paper, a novel CMOS rail-to-rail self-biased multi-output second generation current conveyor with±1V power supply is presented which achieve an accurate current and voltage transfer and wide bandwidth. We also design a multi-input single-output voltage model second-order filter and a single-input multi-output current model second-order active filter based on CCⅡand resistance,capacitance. In the design of CCⅡ, it adopts the rail-to-rail input structure to improve the signal swing; Thanks to its self-bias circuit, the proposed CCIII reduce chip areas and low power consumption. In addition, the impact of the rail-to-rail input structure is analyzed.Simulation result using HSPICE with TSMC 0.35 um technology are also presented, simulation result show that the CCⅡhas achieve a-0.94V-0.91V voltage dynamic range and voltage transfer error equal to 0.08dB with-3dB frequency of about 451.2 MHz; The current driving range is-2mA-1.7mA and current transfer error between terminal Z+and X is 0.02 dB with-3 dB frequency bandwidth of about 334.1 MHz; The current driving range is-1.7mA-2mA and current transfer error between terminal Z-and X is 0.05 dB with-3 dB frequency bandwidth of about 665.8 MHz; The resistance of terminal X only is 0.02Ωwith a power consumption of. Multi-input single-output voltage model second-order filter and single-input multi-output current model second-order active filter based on second generation current conveyor is presented, which realize the characteristic of lowpass,highpass,bandpass and band elimination, separately adjustable centre frequencyω0 and the quality factor Q. Theoretical analysis and computer simulation indicate that the proposed circuits are effective. |
