With the development of analog integrated circuits and analog signal processing, current mode circuits and microelectronic circuits have become frontal question about circuits and system and microelectronics for discussion. The characteristic of Current-mode filter is a high-speed, low-power, large dynamic range, and VLSI technology compatible, which is emphasized by the academe as the direction of research. Because of the characteristics of simple structure, better linear and so on, the current mode filter which based on the current conveyor, especially the second-generation current conveyor, is the most potential current mode filter in the numerous current mode filters. So that improved current conveyor has become the best active component of the current mode continuous time filter.Based on the foundation of the second-generation current conveyor continuous time filter and the second generation current conveyor researched by the domestic and international academics, combined the Natural Science fund project of the nation about new-fashioned differential current conveyor and the continuous time current mode filters made up of it ,the paper researches by the numbers the improved circuit of the second generation current mode conveyor and technology of design and implementation of current mode continuous time filter and the related theory. This paper summarized in the round the actuality of the domestic and international continuous time filters and the general situation and developments in the active component, profoundly studied the theory and methods of current mode current conveyor filter design, improved two kinds of current conveyor and used them to design for a continuous time current mode filter, the experimental results are given hardware in the end.The main innovation of this paper as follows:1) Proposed two kinds of improved current conveyor. Proposed an translinear multiplex output of the second generation differential difference current conveyor (the translinear MDDCCII), the current control fully differential second-generation current conveyor (CFDCCII), a detailed circuit of the analysis, and using bipolar transistor 9014, 9015 completed the hardware circuit design .The circuit is composed of a bipolar transistor, realized by discrete components or the integrated processing, as it is very easy to promote it. 2) The design of the continuous time filter based on MDDCCII, CFDCCII. The second-order filter based on the MDCCII circuit with least components is proposed, which using only a MDDCCII realize low-pass and high-pass filter, and the given results of hardware experiment. Based on the system of the least components CFDCCII second filter and used only a CFDCCII, achieve a second-order filter response (low-pass, high-pass, band-pass and band-stop, as well as all-pass), analyzed the frequency characteristics of non-ideal characteristics and sensitivity characteristics. This paper research the content about frontal academia of today's circuit and signal system, analog signal and information processing .the results and conclusions of this study has certain instructional significance to the current second-generation transmission and its current-mode continuous-time filter design method.
