The Design And Implementation Of The Network Element Configuration Management System

Telecom network has been developing very quickly in recent years, with more large scale, more services and more diverse network elements. So a series of supporting system is needed to reform and optimize the organization structure, management patten, management methods. And this is the value of OSS (Operation Support System).Currently, operators in Pakistan, operation support systems, Ticketing Management, Fault Management, Performance Management and 696hotline system to maintain their use of the network element configuration information, which is four systems in many of the network element configuration information. This has led to user needs in the four systems to maintain four configuration data, respectively, for users to bring a great deal of inconvenience.According to Pakistani CMPAK needs of users, it needs to develop a set of network element configuration management system (CM), network element configuration management system as one sub system of OSS, runing through the whole telecommunication operating activities. The system realizes centralized configuration data management for other subsystems including Fault Management, Performance Management, Ticketing Management,696hotline software. One-point is to maintain and multi-points is to use. According to the needs of each subsystem, the system provides configuration data access interface to synchronize the data. System can automatically collect configuration data, parse and load into database through configuration data from OMC (Operation Maintenance Center) of various vendors. The implementation of network element configuration management system, standardized work processes, it improves working efficiency greatly.With Network Element Configuration Management System, we could manage all kinds of network elements conveniently, set different network element maintenance for different network element type. Combination of the above, this paper analyzes actual requirements in telecommunication fields and business flow, designs and implements a network element configuration management system for telecommunication field.
