With the development of the internet and information technology, remote telemetry technology has become an important auxiliary equipment in industrial and agricultural production, and its application is very broad. In the telemetry system of urban sewage pumping station failure, you can immediately understand the pumping system fault conditions. It provides relevant information and failure trends for the decision-makers to analyze reason in order to arrange the system operation and maintenance. In the shorter maintenance cycle and lower maintenance costs, it has very important practical significance and good economic benefits.The subject has developed a kind of telemetry system in urban sewage pumping station failure based on wireless communication by using CC2430 SoC and streamlined version of the protocol stack (subset) of ZigBee. It is used mainly for urban sewage pumping station in the remote fault detection. Through the effective expansion of system functions, it also can be added the remote control functions.It determines the signal type of pump failure, and selects detection position of fault signal according to the process of sewage pumping station. It also analysises the principle of signal acquisition and selects model of collection device. At the same time, the article focuses on the ZigBee and GPRS communication protocol, especially focuses on the physical layer (PHY) and media access control layer (MAC) model structures, data frame structures and data transmission on the IEEE802.15.4. Then the paper introduces the relationship between IEEE802.15.4 protocol standard and ZigBee protocol standard, and further researches the framework and network of ZigBee protocol stack.This paper analyzes the requirements, and determines the design program of telemetry system in urban sewage pumping station failure. View of the CC2430 SoC for wireless sensor networks unique advantages, the paper has designed a kind of telemetry system with the streamlined version of the protocol stack to ZigBee (subset) and the CC2430 chip system as software and hardware platform under the IAREW8051 for the development tools, Which achieves the ZigBee star network topology, node adding, node leaveing and other functions. At the same time, the systems initializations, stack correlation functions sets, calls and downloads have been also considered.Finally, the paper gives some application programs of the remote terminal node and the sensor fault terminal node. They include wireless data collection and sending programs, serial port initialization process and keyboard driver programs, etc. Experimental results show the system function to the design expected to meet long-range urban sewage pumping station fault information collection requirements. In the end, the article gives experiment verification and proposes further research direction according to the design insufficient and the future development trends of the system.
