The responsibilities of the sewage pumping stations in cities are collecting and transporting the sewage to the waste water treatment plant, and they have played important roles for protecting the water environment of cities. As the sewage pumping stations dispersedly distributed and have a large quantity. They are difficult to be managed. At present, they adopt the management of manual work on duty and telephone scheduling in domestic mostly, so the automation level is low and the manager team is huge. In order to improve management efficiency, save management cost, it is emergent to utilize the advanced information technology to set up a remote monitor system for sewage pumping stations to remote centralized monitor and manage.This paper is based on the background of the sewage pumping stations remote monitor system project of Fengxian area in Shanghai, deeply investigates and discusses this system. It mainly completes these works:1,Base on the characteristics of system and the practice of project, This paper gives the design principle, deeply analyses and research the function of system, and put forward the design scheme. The whole system is composed of 4 parts: Automation system of sewage pumping station, Remote data transmission system, Monitor central system, Video remote monitor system.2,Taking the sewage pumping station a example as an example, This paper introduces the craftwork flow, analyses the function demands and characteristics of locate automation system, designs the automation system of the sewage pumping station using field bus, and explains the hardware selection and configuration and software reality method in detail. 3,By comprehensive comparison of usual remote data transmission, and research of the IP MAN MPLS-VAN net scheme and characteristic, base on the demands of remote data transmission of this project, this paper decides to use MPLS-VPN net as the data transmission method for this project, and proposed design hardware configuration scheme, IP address planning and accessing strategy.4,Base on the function demands of monitor system, this paper gives the design scheme of C/S system structural, and puts forward the selection and configuration of hardware and software system and software secondary development demand.5,Based on the function demands of video monitor system, this paper gives the design scheme of video remote monitor system.According to the analysis and research of the sewage pumping stations remote monitor system, the system has been successfully realized in Fengxian area drainage management centre based on IP MAN. This system can remotely manage the subordinate 31 sewage pumping stations, and it has been accepted and checked by the relative department. The practice make clear that it achieves the design demands, the on-line automation and remote data transportation of sewage pumping stations are stable and reliable, and it acquires the perfect effect of remote centralized management and real time and scheduling control.
