The Design And Realization Of NE Simulator

With the rapid development of 3G in china, as the management software of radio access network (RAN) - operation and maintenance center (OMC) also in a large commercial stage. Laboratory equipment compared with the complex network structure outfield, relatively simple. Before the outfield's test, as far as possible to complete OMC functional testing in laboratory is important.This research aims to solve the test problems in the laboratory such as multiple network elements (NEs) access testing, pressure testing and OMC software interaction with NEs testing, Now the manufacturer's OMC network management software are followed TMN standard, TMN is network which make up with standard protocol, all kinds of operation system (OS) and telecommunications equipment for information exchange. Based on detailed study and analysis of the architecture of the OMC software, combined with the framework of the 3G radio access network, we present a new approach about NE simulation testing technique. As a tool to assist the real NEs's environment, thus finish the OMC software testing effectively. According to this thought, we have developed a NE simulator, which based on the XML files, with the flexibility of the XML, we defines various interactive interface. Also developed a GUI interface module and the communication module can support multiple protocol stacks.Finally we have tested the NE simulator thoroughly with the OMC software, the test result s show that the NE simulator meets the needs of OMC software testing, it can finish most part of the test work.. Building a real NEs assist with the NE simulators testing environments in laboratory can greatly improve the working efficiency and the accuracy of the test work..
